The FortisBC dual fuel heating system rebate helps offset the cost of installing a new electric heat pump with a new high-efficiency gas furnace. Rebate eligibility requirements from Fortis BC

- The home must have a residential FortisBC natural gas account.
- The home must be a year-round primary residence at least 12 months old and be either a single-family, duplex, triplex, row home, townhouse or mobile home on a permanent foundation. New construction, additions and garage upgrades are not eligible.
- Applications must be submitted within six months of the paid invoice date.
- It must be replacing an existing gas furnace that is at least 10 years old.
- It must be a new central ducted air source heat pump integrated with a new compatible high efficiency gas furnace.
- It must be installed by a Technical Safety BC licenced gas contractor who is a member in good standing of the Home Performance Contractor Network. PJB Mechanical is a Technical Safety BC licenced gas contractor – TSBC Gas Licence #LGA0005550.
How to apply for rebate

- Purchase an eligible air source heat pump and high-efficiency gas furnace and have them installed by a Technical Safety BC licensed contractor. PJB Mechanical is a Technical Safety BC licenced gas contractor – TSBC Gas Licence #LGA0005550.
- Complete the application form on the FortisBC Website with supporting information, and submit it within six months of the invoice date.
